Thailand is a unique country - one of the few nations in asia which was never colonised, or conquered by other invaders.

Perhaps because of this, the people have an immense pride, and are very friendly and good natured.

The food is spectacular, one of the few countries in Asia where it is safe and rewarding to go hunting for food on the streets.

The only gastronomic complaints I have had was when I was too bold with the chillis, a rare occurence, because despite the stereotypical Thai cuisine being super-hot, it is in fact a master of balance between hot, sweet, sour, salty and bitter.

Browse through this gallery, with images of Bangkok and Phetachburi, the waterways of Samut Songkhram and Damnoen Saduak, and the Northern town of Sawankhalok.
