Bread and Life – Mobile Soup Kitchen

In September, I kicked off a major part of my project on Food Justice in Brooklyn by visiting St John's Bread and Life in Bedford Stuyvesant, and rode in their Mobile Soup Kitchen, which provides food to people in need in Brooklyn and Queens.

Hundreds of Venezuelan farmers fought for this land under Chavez's agrarians laws, now it's a model cooperative farm practicing sustainable agriculture, supporting the socialist economy.
